Summer is over for another year, I don’t think we have had much of a summer this year, flash floods again, high winds. I really think our seasons are really out of whack lately.

It was a beautiful weekend for a change, I thought that summer had arrived at last, alas when I look outside now, there is not a single ray of sunshine to be seen and the clouds are bubbling up.

I’m going to spend a couple of hours in my local library, looking for some books that will finally help me to decide which spiritual path I want to pursue for the rest of my life. I might just take parts from different paths that I like and mix them all together, stick it in the oven for a couple of hours and see what comes out at the end.

I feel that it is going to be an interesting time ahead, especially with me wrestling with my mind, trying to slow it down and focus on one thing at a time, instead of flitting about from one subject to another because I am getting bored and not giving myself time to research things properly.

Do you ever find yourself in that situation?

Give me a job!!!

This is a post to all potential employers out there.

I need a job.

However there is a downside, I seem to be over qualified to do most things, so for the past 6 weeks I have been stuck at home applying for job after job, only to not hear back from some employers or an acknowledgement that you have received my CV.

You all seem to think that you are mind readers or crystal ball gazers, yes you seem to think you know what I’m thinking and what I’m going to do in the future, however you don’t.

If I tell you what my ideal job is, it isn’t a snub of your company, lots of people out there have their ideal jobs, so why should my circumstances be different?

You seem to think I would be bored and that I’d disappear as soon as my ideal job came along. No I wouldn’t, my ideal job hasn’t come along for over 2 years now, despite me trying.

I just want the chance to pay my bills and live a life with some normalcy.

Don’t turn me down for warehouse positions, shelf filling positions etc because “others qualifications/experience are a closer fit to what we want.” That’s not going to help me pay my bills, I have 2 arms and 2 legs and a mouth and a brain, so I can do the work, just give me a flipping chance!!!

So come on take a flipping chance and give me one!!!

A Magickal Journey

Hi there,

Please take time out of your busy schedule and check out a brand new site created by a friend of mine called A Magickal Journey.

Everything you wanted to know about spiritual paths but were afraid to ask can be found on this site.

There are some excellent “101″ sections where you can ask questions and experts in that field will be more than happy to answer them.

Not only that there is a cool shop where you can buy personalised charts, readings etc..

So open up your mind and go visit A Magickal Journey.

Been a little while

It’s been a little while since my last post, I have been extremely busy job hunting and other things that have taken my attention away from this blog.

The job hunt is not yielding much at the moment, I am mulling over some ideas as an alternative to working for someone else, however inevitably I am going to have to bite the bullet and work for someone whilst I work towards my ideal job.

I have also started writing a story, just over 1000 words into it, I think it is going to be quite an interesting and very long story.

I am due to start my first Open University course on October 4th, should be getting the first batch of study material through the mail soon, that should go some way to improving my job prospects.

I am also trying out this cool looking plugin for Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, that work with quite a few of the major blogging platforms out there called Zemanta, it suggests links and other contents to enhance blog content.

This was found in a subscription to one of the many blogs I have subscribed to, the one that blogged about Zemanta is one of the partners over at Union Square Ventures, they have just invested in this company.

I don’t normally go for widgets in blogs, however this one has swayed me to try it out. I think you should try it out for yourself and see how well it does for your blog content.

Until the next time.

This is a little rant at the Radio Times reviewers, especially the ones who daub the TV listings with their missives.

I want to know what the program is about, not your little snivellings about what you think of a program, these are TV listings where we want know what a program is about, half the time I don’t have a clue what a current installment is about because of your diatribe.

Also lets be a little creative and not type out the same reviews week in week out, show some originality and not sound so bored. Anyone can gush or pick holes in a program, but do you have to do it on the TV listings?

Radio times do you give guidelines to reviewers or do you let any tom, dick and harry graffiti your online listings?

Set up a seperate section for their views, so then we can all know what a program is about and can then disregard the comments of the reviewers if we so wish.

Helena,

I do apologise, I have only just added a link to your blog, slowly getting round to getting things organised and catch up on things I should have done months ago instead of moping around feeling sorry for myself :D

Until the next time

Just a quick note

If you want to see all the posts from a particular category on my blog, please use the Categories box in the right hand side bar.

If you click on the link below my posts you will be taken to the wordpress site and every single blog that has a similar category will have posts listed in there, you may be lucky and see one of my posts listed in there, however as I said to guarantee that you are reading the correct blog, click on the categories in the relevant box on the right hand side panel.

If you didn’t already know, my temporary 3 month job finished on Friday, so I am currently unemployed. The agency who provided me with this position have lined up an interview with me for another company on Monday.

It is a receptionist job, I know that it isn’t my ideal job, however at the moment I see it as providing an income to continue paying my bills and saving up for another car.

If I get this job, it is going to be less money, but not a whole lot less so I can still live within my means.

The Dark Knight

Went to see this this afternoon. It was a good movie, I wouldn’t say Heath Ledger’s portrayal of “The Joker” was off the charts. It was better than Jack Nicholson’s version.

Christian Bale putting in the raspy voice now starts to get on my nerves a little. Michaal Caine and Morgan Freeman dependable as ever. Maggie Gylenhall’s Rachel is now way as good as Katie Holmes.

A little rushed towards the end and the flash forward at the end was a tad confusing.

On the whole a good movie, a lot better than “Batman Begins”, I’m looking forward to the next instalment.

Sent off the registration forms yesterday for my first course.
